Just Got Your 10th Result? Your Options in Akola
Getting your 10th result — good marks, low marks, or a subject not cleared — can feel like a big moment. It is. But it is not the end of your options. In Akola, there are real, practical paths to a good livelihood. Here is an honest look.
If you passed 10th
You can continue to 11th–12th, but that is not the only good choice. A 1–2 year ITI course teaches you a real skill and gets you working sooner — as an electrician, computer operator, solar technician and more. Many students earn while their friends are still studying, and can still study further later through apprenticeship or a diploma.
If your marks were low
Marks do not decide your future — skills do. Employers hiring an electrician or welder care whether you can do the job, not your 10th percentage. An ITI certificate is a nationally recognised (NCVT) qualification that opens factory jobs, apprenticeships, and even government-job routes.
If you did not clear 10th
You still have a strong option: the Welder course is open after 8th standard. If school did not work out, welding is a genuine path to a skilled trade, a steady income, and eventually your own workshop. Do not let one result stop you.
Why an ITI is a smart choice
- Short and practical — 1 to 2 years, mostly hands-on, not just theory.
- Job-focused — every course leads to specific, in-demand work.
- Recognised everywhere — an NCVT certificate is valid across India.
- Affordable — fees are as per Government norms, and scholarships/freeships are available for SC/ST/OBC and minority students.
- A foundation to build on — apprenticeship, diploma lateral entry, or your own business are all open afterwards.
